The Year in Rewind

To our NCSC Members, and to our professional community,

Happy summer!

It is hard to believe that nearly two years ago NCSC was just an idea. More of a hope, really, shared by a group of colleagues who sought a place for professional
networking, advocacy, support, and excellence. We are proud of where the last year
has taken us, and so excited for the year to come.

The 2020-2021 fiscal year brought new challenges to our infant organization. Just as
we wrapped our heads around the events and trainings we hoped to bring to our
colleagues and community, COVID-19 introduced a steep learning curve to bring our
vision to a virtual platform. Mentoring and Professional Development Day 2020 took
place via Zoom, and everyone who participated and attended virtually brought so
much value and richness to the event. Throughout the last year, NCSC has continued
our efforts to build bridges between the mental health professions in Northern
Nevada and 2021-2022 is already shaping up to do just that! We are proud to
represent systemic counseling in Northern Nevada and so thankful to our colleagues
and friends for all of your support.

With awe and anticipation,
Jennifer Ross, Outgoing Board President
