Marilyn Reibsamen

Marilyn Reibsamen is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist from Reno, NV. She has an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy, which influenced her work in both disciplines. Marilyn has been trained in EMDR, a powerful tool that invites the mind body connection to process traumatic experiences. During her clinical training, she worked alongside an interdisciplinary team to treat adolescents and their families in the foster care system, emphasizing the importance of collaborative care. She currently runs a private practice where she treats a variety of clients, including couples, adolescents, and adults. Marilyn strongly values acceptance, empathy, and knowledge to foster supportive and informed communities.

Joslyn
Christman

Joslyn Christman has an adventurous professional background, having transitioned from teaching and marketing before delving into counseling. Armed with a Master of Arts in Teaching and a Bachelor's in Marketing, she's now on the brink of earning a Master of Arts in Counseling from the University of Nevada, Reno. Specializing in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling. Joslyn is also pursuing an Advanced Certificate in Addiction Treatment Services. Her current qualifications and passions include certifications in equine-assisted psychotherapy, alcohol and drug counseling, and problem gambling counseling. Beyond her professional pursuits, she enjoys outdoor adventures with her fiancé, 12-year-old son, and their beloved dog, Furby, in Northern Nevada.

Monica Joyner

Monica Joyner is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Nevada. Monica has her own practice, Joyner Counseling, in Reno. In the past, Monica has been a classroom teacher and has worked at non-profit specializes in work with gifted children. More recently, Monica has completed an Emotional Focused Therapy externship and her practice focuses on working with couples from the EFT modality. In her free time Monica in enjoys running, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Dr. Meri Shadley

Dr. Shadley is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and Licensed Clinical Supervisor in both disciplines.  Recently retired from the University of Nevada, Reno, Meri has a long history of teaching and  training in the areas of individual, couple and family therapy, trauma, interpersonal violence, as well as adolescent and women’s issues in recovery.

JB Balmut

James (JB) Balmut is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a broad range of clinical experience.  His work with inpatient, outpatient, and private practice clients ranged from the pediatric to geriatric population. After more than three decades of direct service to clients he has retired from private practice and is now dedicated to serving the next generation of providers by offering Primary and Secondary Supervision to interns.

Brinn Wallace

Brinn Wallace is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Brinn owns a private practice, Wallace Counseling & Therapy, and works with adults and adolescents struggling with mental health, trauma (EMDR), substance use, and co-occurring issues as well as families and couples. Brinn is dedicated to the advocacy and advancement of mental health care in our community.

Barbara Hudson

Barbara Hudson has been a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a private practice in Reno since 1992. She specializes in working with couples, and is trained in both Gottman and EFT styles of couple therapy. She has been providing training and supervision to MFT interns for over 20 years. In her free time she enjoys her life long yoga practice.

 Susan Mears

Dr. Susan Mears is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She works as an Evaluator on federal grants with the Behavioral Health Program at the Fallon Paiute Shoshone Tribe. Susan spent over 30 years working in children’s mental health. She is semi-retired, spending time with volunteer activities, exercising, and traveling.
